GENERAL

The ATT EXCEL Series fume cupboard / fume hood is constructed in accordance with the Australian / New Zealand Standards AS/NZS2243.8:2005, AS/NZS2430.3, AS/NZS3000, AS1482 and AS1530, Part 3. All the inner and outer chamber parts are manufactured from fire retardand, chemical resistant, reinforced plastic (FRRP) in white colour. The front facia can be in the colour of your choice to complement your new or existing decor.

- The picture frame type fume cupboard front facia is aerodynamically shaped to assist in the containment of fumes inside the internal chamber.

- The fume cupboard internal chamber is moulded in one piece with large radius corners, on the top aerodynamically shaped towards a rectangular outlet with a surrounding flange for easy fixing to the adjoining duct work.

- The fume cupboard baffle is moulded in one piece and is retained in the chamber by clips to facilitate easy removal without tools for cleaning purposes.

- Both fume cupboard outer side walls incorporate easy removable access panels (500 mm wide x 450 mm high) to allow for easy servicing of the water, gas and other supply lines.

- The fume cupboard work surface can be supplied as a loose or fixed section. Functional and chemical resistant material can be used for its construction as Corian, Marblo, Stainless Steel, Toughened Glass, Polypropylene, PVC, Ceramic Tiles etc.

All the surface materials can have incorporated sinks of different shape and sizes to suit applications. At the front opening the work surface is provided with a raised lip to contain spills in accordance with AS/NZS2243.8:2005 and AS/NZS2430:1997.

- The vertically sliding, counterbalanced fume cupboard sash is from 6 mm toughened glass. The bottom edge of the glass is covered with a PVC aerofoil trim to minimise air turbulence. The sash slides freely and silently in a unique track system due the use of sealed stainless steel ball bearings with Nylon thread. The sash cables are from stainless steel running on sealed ball bearing pulleys. Two handles are securely fixed to the glass for easy upward and downward movement with a force of approximate 0.5 to 1 kg.

- The fume cupboard lighting is provided by a fluorescent light providing illumination at the work surface of not less than 400 lux. Illumination of the work area is through an armour plate glass panel recessed in the roof of the internal chamber. The external installation in the non-hazardous area allows an easy replacement of the fluorescent light tube and starter.

- Water and gas services are hidden mounted and connected in the cavity of the inner and outer chamber. The nozzles and swivel spouts are mounted to the side walls of the inner chamber of the fume cupboard. The remote control valves and outlets are colour coded to DIN12920 international standard. The remote control valves can be mounted in the left or right hand vertical lower section of the front facia of the fume cupboard and/or in the horizontal facia of the 900 mm high support bench. The remote control fittings are pre-plumbed within the fume cupboard with stainless steel braided flexible hoses approved by the Water and Gas Boards.
